Frequently Asked Questions

How do I log a fishing trip?

Tap the + button on the Home screen. Walk through each step to add your spot, date, catches, photos, and notes. Tap "Save Trip" when you're done.

How does voice entry work?

On the Notes step, tap the microphone icon and speak naturally - for example, "I caught three blue catfish at 14, 16, and 18 inches, all released, fished Lake Hartwell from the bank." The app transcribes your recording and fills in your trip details automatically.

How do I restore my Pro subscription?

Go to the Settings tab and tap "Restore Purchases." Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account used when you originally subscribed.

What is Track My Bite Pro?

Pro removes the free-tier trip limit and unlocks unlimited photo storage, voice entry, weather logging, pattern analysis, and trip sharing. Available as a monthly, annual, or one-time lifetime purchase.

How do I cancel my subscription?

iPhone: Open Settings > tap your name > Subscriptions > Track My Bite > Cancel Subscription.
Android: Open the Google Play Store > tap your profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > Track My Bite > Cancel. You'll keep Pro access through the end of your billing period.

The weather didn't load for my trip. Why?

Weather requires an internet connection when logging. If you were offline, the app saves a retry queue and will automatically fetch the weather for that trip the next time you have service.

How do I share a trip?

Open any saved trip and tap the Share button in the top-right corner. A shareable trip card will be generated with your catch stats, photo, and conditions - ready to post or send.

My trip data disappeared. What happened?

All trip data is stored locally on your device. If you deleted and reinstalled the app, data cannot be recovered. We recommend keeping regular iCloud (iOS) or Google (Android) device backups.

Is my data private?

Yes. All trips, photos, and location data are stored only on your device. We have no servers storing your fishing data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
